A–Z terms
An alphabetical list of every term used in TimbaTicket documentation. For how terms relate to each other, see The TimbaTicket dictionary.
A
- Absorbed fee — fee policy where the buyer pays exactly the ticket price and the platform fee comes out of the organiser's proceeds. See Plans & pricing.
- Admitted — check-in result: the guest was scanned and allowed in. See Check-in.
- Application fee — Square's mechanism TimbaTicket uses to take its per-ticket fee at the payment level; the rest goes to the organiser's Square account. See Square payments.
- Auto-apply link — a URL that automatically applies a discount at checkout, no code to type. See Discount codes.
- Already used — check-in result: the QR code was scanned before; the guest was already admitted. See Check-in.
C
- Combined finances — read-only dashboard view summing revenue, tickets sold and organisation count across all organisations you belong to. It does not split money.
- Complimentary — order payment status for free tickets. See Orders & attendees.
- CRM — Customer Relationship Management. See CRM & customers.
D
- Discount code — a typed code that reduces the price at checkout (e.g. "EARLYBIRD20"). See Discount codes.
- Door staff — per-event check-in access (scoped to one event), not a standing team seat. See Check-in.
- Draft — an event still being built; not public. See Event lifecycle.
F
- Fee policy — whether the platform fee is absorbed by the organiser or passed through to the buyer. See Plans & pricing.
G
- Guest list — pre-authorises specific names for entry at the door, separate from ticket types. See Guest lists.
- Grow — mid plan: £29/month + £0.45 per ticket; 3 seats. See Plans & pricing.
I
- Invalid — check-in result: the QR code is not recognised (wrong event, fake code, or corrupted scan). See Check-in.
M
- Manager — role that runs events day-to-day, sees financial and sales reports; cannot refund. See Roles & permissions.
O
- Order — the record of a purchase. One order can contain many tickets. See Orders & attendees.
- Override admitted — check-in result: a manager overrode a failed scan and admitted the guest anyway. Only Owner and Manager can do this. See Check-in.
- Owner — top role; can do everything including refunds and payment setup. See Roles & permissions.
P
- Passed-through fee — fee policy where the per-ticket fee is added to the buyer's price. See Plans & pricing.
- Pending approval — event state after the organiser asks to publish, before going public. See Event lifecycle.
- Per-ticket fee — the platform fee charged on every ticket: £0.60 (Start), £0.45 (Grow), £0.35 (Pro). See Plans & pricing.
- Plan — Start, Grow or Pro subscription tier (plus Trial and Enterprise). See Plans & pricing.
- Problem — check-in result: the ticket scanned successfully but something is wrong (e.g. wrong event, VIP mismatch). See Check-in.
- Pro — top published plan: £99/month + £0.35 per ticket; 10 seats. See Plans & pricing.
- Published — an event that is live on its public page. See Event lifecycle.
R
- Recount — post-event settlement comparing how many tickets were sold against how many people were admitted at the door. See Analytics & reports.
- Referral partner — promotes your events; conversions tracked by the platform. See Referral partners.
- Refunded — ticket status: the purchase was reversed and the ticket is no longer valid. See Issue a refund.
S
- Sales closed — an event past its sales window; tickets can no longer be purchased. See Sales window.
- Seat — a standing team member (Owner/Manager/Team). Door staff do not count as seats. See Team & access.
- Start — free plan: £0/month + £0.60 per ticket; 1 seat. See Plans & pricing.
T
- Team — the limited-access role below Manager. See Roles & permissions.
- Ticket — the proof of purchase. Belongs to one order, assigned to one attendee. Each ticket carries a unique QR code. See Orders & attendees.
- Ticket type — a priced ticket category on an event (e.g. General Admission, Early Bird). See Ticketing & pricing.
- Trial — 30-day free evaluation period, no card required. See Trial.

- Covers — a reference to a person (buyer) who attended an event, used in reports. See Analytics & reports.
