Market your event (101 series)
The Share Centre is your event's built-in marketing tool. It gives you everything you need to promote on the three channels that matter most for event organisers — WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook — without writing separate posts for each platform.
Open it from your event's tabs: Share.
Message copy per channel
The Share Centre generates ready-to-use messages for each platform, tailored to your event's real details (name, date, location) and current status:
| Channel | What you get |
|---|---|
| A pre-written message with your event link. Copy it, or tap "Open in WhatsApp" to send it directly. | |
| The same message adapted for Instagram. Since captions can't have clickable links, you get a "Copy bio link" button to put the URL in your bio instead. | |
| A ready-to-post message with the tracked link. |
Message tones
The message changes based on your event's occupancy. The Share Centre automatically picks the right tone, but you can override it:
- Announcement — the default. "Come join us" style, used when tickets are available.
- Reminder — used when the event is within 3 days. "Don't forget" urgency.
- Almost sold out — used when 85%+ of capacity is gone. "Only a few left" scarcity.
- Sold out — thanks the community, points to "follow us for the next one."
AI-assisted WhatsApp copy
For WhatsApp, the Share Centre can draft a fresh message using AI. Tap "Write with AI" to generate a personalised broadcast-style message that keeps your ticket link verbatim. You can edit the AI draft by hand, or reset to the template.
Share images with QR codes
The Share images section generates downloadable promotional images from your event's cover photo:
| Format | Size | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Poster | 4:5 | General social posts |
| Instagram Story | 9:16 | Stories, Reels cover |
| Instagram Feed | 1:1 | Feed posts, square crops |
Each image includes a scannable QR code that links directly to your event page. Scans are tracked in "Sales by channel" so you can see which image drove the most traffic.
You can choose which photo to use — the hero image or any photo from your event's gallery.
Trackable links
Every link the Share Centre generates includes a ?ref= tag (?ref=whatsapp,
?ref=instagram, ?ref=facebook). This means the Sales by channel table at the bottom
of the Share tab shows exactly how many orders and tickets came from each platform.
"Direct" means the customer used a link with no ?ref= tag — organic traffic, or visits from
before this feature existed.
Embed on your website
If you have your own website (Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, or plain HTML), the Share Centre gives you a code snippet. Paste it into any page to show the event inline, with a "Buy Tickets" button that opens Square checkout normally. The embed resizes itself automatically.
The embed link is also tracked (?ref=embed) so embedded sales show up in the channel
breakdown.
