Refunds & cancelled bookings

Refunds on TimbaTicket are handled by the event organiser, not by TimbaTicket. Here's what you need to know.

How refund decisions work

Every event on TimbaTicket has a refund policy set by the organiser. You'll see this policy on the event page before you buy — look for a "No refunds" chip or similar notice near the ticket information.

  • If the event has a no-refund policy, the organiser has chosen not to offer refunds. You'll see this before purchasing.
  • If the event does not show a no-refund policy, the organiser may still have conditions (e.g. refunds only up to a certain date). Check the event description or contact the organiser.

How to request a refund

  1. Contact the organiser directly — the best way is to reply to your confirmation email (if the organiser set a support email, your reply goes straight to them) or use the support email shown on the event page or in your confirmation email.
  2. Explain your situation — include your name, the event name, and the reference number from your ticket.
  3. Wait for the organiser's response — the organiser reviews the request and decides whether to issue a refund through their TimbaTicket dashboard.

If the event is cancelled

If the organiser cancels the event, you should contact them directly to arrange a refund. TimbaTicket does not automatically issue refunds when an event is cancelled — the organiser must initiate each refund individually.

How refunds are processed

When the organiser approves a refund:

  • The refund is processed through Square (the same system you paid through)
  • The refund goes back to the original payment method (your card)
  • It typically takes 5–10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank
  • The refunded ticket's QR code is automatically invalidated — it won't scan at the door

What TimbaTicket can help with

TimbaTicket's support team (support@timbaticket.com) can help when:

  • The organiser is unresponsive and you believe you're entitled to a refund
  • You were charged but never received a ticket
  • You have a billing issue unrelated to the organiser's refund policy

For all other refund requests, the organiser is the right point of contact.
