Buying tickets & checkout

Buying tickets on TimbaTicket is a straightforward process — no account required. Here's what happens step by step.

Find the event

Every event has a public page with the event name, date, location, and description. You can reach it from a share link, a QR code, or a direct URL.

Choose your ticket type

Click the Buy Tickets button (bottom of the page on mobile, sidebar on desktop). If the event offers more than one ticket type, you'll see a list to choose from — each with its own name, price, and description.

If there's only one type available, it's pre-selected for you.

Enter your details

You'll need to provide:

  • Full name — the name on the ticket
  • Email address — where your tickets and QR codes will be sent (double-check for typos — this is where your confirmation arrives)
  • Phone (optional) — the organiser may use this to contact you about the event

Add a discount code (if you have one)

If you've received a promo code, enter it in the discount code box. If the code is valid, you'll see a confirmation showing the discount applied. The final total you see before redirecting to payment may not yet reflect the discount — it's applied on the secure Square payment page.

You might also arrive with a discount code already applied if the organiser shared a special link.

Complete payment

Click Pay to be redirected to Square's secure payment page. TimbaTicket accepts card payments processed by Square — your card details are never stored by the event organiser or TimbaTicket.

On the Square page you'll see:

  • The ticket total
  • Any applicable platform booking fee (shown separately)
  • The discount (if applied)

Complete the payment form and confirm.

After payment

You'll be taken to a confirmation page with a green checkmark and a "Booking Confirmed!" message. Your tickets and QR codes are sent to the email address you entered — check your inbox (and spam folder) for the confirmation email.

Your confirmation email is your ticket. There is no separate account or online ticket wallet — the email contains everything you need to attend the event.

What if something goes wrong?

  • If the payment page shows an error, try again — your card has not been charged if the payment didn't complete.
  • If you were charged but received no confirmation email, check your spam folder first. If it's not there, contact the organiser using the support email in the event page or your payment receipt.
  • If the checkout page closes before you finish, you can reopen it from the same event page and start again.
