Set up door-staff access

Door-staff links give your team a quick, temporary way to check in attendees at the door. They do not require your staff to create an account — the link itself is the login.

How it works

  1. You create a door-staff link for a specific event
  2. You send the link to your staff member (copy and share it however you like — text, WhatsApp, etc.)
  3. They open the link on their phone or tablet
  4. The link opens the check-in app, pre-loaded with your event
  5. They scan QR codes to check in attendees

The link is scoped to a single event. Door staff cannot access your dashboard, event settings, orders, or any other event.

  1. Go to the Operations tab of your event
  2. Find the Door Staff Access section
  3. Click Create Door Staff Link
note

Your event must have an end date set before you can create a door-staff link. If the end date field is empty, the button will ask you to set one first.

  1. The link appears in a text field with a Copy button
  2. Share the link with your door staff

What door staff see

When a staff member opens the link:

  • The check-in app loads with your event pre-selected
  • They see two tabs: Scan (to scan QR codes) and Guests (to see the guest list)
  • They can scan tickets and see the result (admitted, already used, etc.)

They cannot see orders, analytics, settings, or any other event data.

If you click Generate New Link, a new link is created and the old one stops working. Use this if:

  • You accidentally shared the link with the wrong person
  • You want to give a fresh link to a new staff member

The door-staff link automatically expires when the event ends. After that, the link no longer works — staff will see a message saying the link is no longer valid.

If you need to revoke access before the event ends, click Generate New Link to create a new one (the old link becomes invalid immediately).
